| Only digital TV will do in a year
Thousands more will have to buy some new gear or lose the use of spare televisions in guest bedrooms, kitchens and dens. And those battery-operated televisions people buy for hurricane emergencies. Forget about them. Theyll be useless. The Federal Communications Commission demands that local television affiliates must broadcast only digital signals by Feb. 17, 2009, so the analog signals previously captured by set-top antennas will no longer be available for TV. The move, the feds say, will free up space for public safety communications such as those by police and fire departments. Some of the available space also will be auctioned to wireless companies that will be able to provide consumers with more advanced services. People who subscribe to cable or satellite programming wont be affected, at least on those televisions connected to cable boxes or satellite receivers.
Standing up to the crowd
Three things will happen: 1) The modern outfitter is a businessman and in business to make a profit. When the draw happens you simply get the names of the successful applicants and begin your marketing campaign. Now though, instead of going for numbers the outfitter will be selling truly quality hunts with 400 class bulls a very likely probability. Instead of needing 30 hunters to pay his leases he just charges more and only needs three. Thank you FWP for limiting hunters now I get bigger bulls (and more of them) and my clients love it! 2)The outfitter with marginal leases will simply move West (I hear some are already looking for leases in the western part of the state) 3)The resident hunter will begin picking up the marginal leases for themselves. This proposal is supposed to have little effect on resident archery as a whole.

But given the regime's track record, Iran's possible involvement with the cell is worth exploring further. Indeed, this story is worth investigating further--as are the possible ties between Iran and Hezbollah on the one hand, and al Qaeda's 9/11 hijackers on the other. As I wrote in my latest piece, the 9/11 Commission found that Iran and Hezbollah may have facilitated travel for a majority of the 9/11 hijackers in a manner very similar to this Bahraini al Qaeda cell. The Commission called for further investigation into the matter, but we are still waiting. If any such investigation is ever begun, the story of this Bahraini cell should also be looked into. The pattern of behavior is very similar. Posted by Thomas Joscelyn at 05:42 PM | Permalink | E-mail the author | E-mail article .
Man dies after being hit by van in Mantua Township
MANTUA TWP., N.J. -- A man who was walking north on Glassboro Road near Lambs Road, carrying an umbrella and pushing a bicycle, was hit by a van and suffered fatal injuries early Wednesday. Jaglar Singh, 62, had a last known address in North Plainfield, but police believe he had been staying somewhere in Pitman. Singh, dressed in black, appeared to have been struck from behind by the 1999 Ford Econoline van, driven by Richard Mack, 41, of Pitman, said police. Mack stopped his van and dialed 911 for help at about 5:34 a.m. A Glassboro police officer, who was returning from transporting a prisoner, was first on the scene and he and other officers administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the victim until emergency medical technicians arrived to take over, police said.

Searching for the Soviet Sherlock
The films are in Russian, with English subtitles, and reflecting their recent availability and relative rarity, no user reviews are to be found on the corresponding Amazon.com pages. The opportunity to re-package and release on North American DVD such titles as King of the Blackmailers, Mortal Fight and The Hound of the Baskervilles is tailor made for a company like The Criterion Collection, who may well be in the process of trying to track down the company now holding those aforementioned Lenfilm rights. But at this point, the DVDs are no easier to find this side of the pond than Maslennikov's 2006's autobiography The Baker Street in Petrogradskaya. Meanwhile, though Vitali Solomin, the actor who played Dr. Watson in the films, passed away in 2002, 72-year-old Livanov is still alive.

It comes from JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), one of the partner charities of BuyOnceGiveTwice and consists of a three day trip to the Italian Alps to watch World Cup skiing, complete with four star accommodation and flights for two. BuyOnceGiveTwice is a simple idea that will help charities effortlessly increase their fundraising revenue."Emma continues: "We have a unique proposition to bidders – how else could the public have access to these kinds of exclusive items? We handle everything from listing and marketing the items to taking payment and despatching the items, so the charity needs hardly lift a finger.
PALESTINIANS CLAIM WMD CAPABILITY
The Fatah terrorist faction has claimed the capability of chemical and biological weapons and has threatened Israel with a WMD attack, according to the Jerusalem Post. Leaflets distributed in the Gaza Strip state that the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade has spent the last three years developing the capabilty, the start of which seems oddly coincidental to the fall of Saddam Hussein (via Reliapundit): The Aksa Martyrs' Brigades group announced on Sunday that it its members have succeeded in manufacturing chemical and biological weapons to be used against Israel. In a leaflet distributed in the Gaza Strip, the group, which belongs to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party, said the weapons were the result of an effort that has lasted for three years. The statment was a response to an Israeli Security Cabinet decision to give the IDF the green light to prepare all the forces necessary for a military operation against Gaza terror cells.
Road rage doc receives discharge
A Belle River doctor who was previously fined for physically and emotionally abusing patients received a conditional discharge Friday for a case of road rage in which he punched a woman in the face. In handing down the decision, which carries 12 months probation for Dr. Charles Rathe, Justice Micheline Rawlins said the road rage was "an isolated act in an otherwise exemplary life." Rawlins also took issue with the prosecution's suggestion that the assault was even more aggravating because Rathe punched a woman. She said she was "standing up for women" and that the suggestion by assistant Crown attorney George Spartinos was "sexist." .
