So three of the tagged fish were caught on conventional "J" hooks, and the other three were caught on circle hooks. Only one of the J-hook-caught fish was deep-hooked. "We were able to remove the hook with no problems, and the fish appeared to be in great shape," Graves said. "All the other fish were hooked in the corner of the mouth." Graves, who has used similar tags in his white marlin research, said the remaining four tags likely will be in fish by the start of today's Super Bowl. The tags record information on fish movement and depth in the water. In 30 days, the tags pop off the device implanted into the fish, rising to the surface and transmitting information to a satellite. Sometimes the tags are found and turned in by anglers, resulting in more data.
Growth can be a nightmare
Regardless of how the insurance is funneled, an employee's benefits package should be determined based upon the employee's abilities prior to the injury and the employee's capabilities to return to work post-injury. Physicians should not be looking at age, race or genetic factors in determining a benefit package. What is next? Foreclosures in Mich. decline
Foreclosures in Michigan may have hit their peak and finally be heading downward, new data released Tuesday suggests. That would be a welcome development in a state that has endured one of the worst economic downturns and most severe housing slumps in decades. A decline in foreclosures would be a first step, albeit small, to a real estate recovery that experts predict could take several years. Michigan foreclosure filings in January declined 7.03 percent compared to the same month a year ago, to 10,746, according to RealtyTrac, a Irvine, Calif.-based firm that tracks foreclosure numbers. In Metro Detroit -- encompassing Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Livingston counties -- filings declined 23 percent year over year. .

For 2007, Cannondale takes its popular off-road, dual suspension Rush mountain bike to a higher level. The new design sheds weight but gains stiffness by converting the frame’s front triangle from an aluminum alloy to a carbon material. The single-pivot Rush is designed for marathon and endurance cross country racers who want a high-performance, lightweight, full suspension bike. Cannondale boasts the Team Rush weight at only 10.75kg (23.7 lbs) with pedals. A few Cannondale-sponsored pros, such as Christoph Sauser, have already raced to World Cup podium success on the new carbon Rush, and Tinker Juarez was on hand for the weekend to hone the fit of his new carbon Rush after racing his alloy version thus far in 2006. After a second media preview in Europe next week, Cannondale will begin selling the 2007 Rush worldwide in late November 2006. In the meantime, demo bikes will be available at some dealers.
